Green Tai Chi Corner for people affected by dementia, family carers and support workers
Dao Lu has been awarded a grant by the Mayor of London FreeSport Summer 2016!
This project is free for people affected by dementia, family carers and support workers. Tai Chi has many health benefits including improving balance and coordination, calming your mind and relieving stress in a beautiful and quiet natural setting.
Wellbeing Tai Chi retreat 2017
Cool-pads (a third party, not associated with Dao Lu) is organising a retreat in Puglia, Italy that includes Tai Chi delivered by Aaron or Shifu Browne (depending on dates). For details, please see cool-pads.com/ourretreats. Please note this is independent and not organised by Dao Lu. Please contact the organisers (cool-pads.com) for any enquiries.
Who We Are
Dao Lu CIC (Community Interest Company) is a local group of people who are passionate about Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese martial art, and its great health benefits. We promote Tai Chi training to local communities and beyond for a healthier and calmer mind, body and lifestyle.
We set ourselves up in April 2013 and registered at Companies House and the C.I.C. Regulator, The Office of the Regulator of Community Interest Companies, in October 2013. We are also a registered member of British Council for Chinese Martial Arts, the national governing body for Chinese martial arts under Sport England.
We are particularly targeting hard to reach community groups to benefit from Tai Chi training. We work with many different organisations including local authorities to bring Tai Chi to local residents. In August 2014 we won a Big Lottery Fund award to deliver a comprehensive Tai Chi programme, Ultimate Wellbeing, to a wider range of groups in their familiar settings such as care homes and days centres.
