Qigong for all at Pembury Community Centre
This class is suitable for beginners and those who have been learning Qi Gong for a longer time. The class takes place on the ground floor in a friendly community library.
Learn about Qi ( our life force energy) and the basic principles of Qi Gong – alignment, slow movements that flow with deep, smooth, and even breathing, relaxation of muscles and joints to enable qi to flow, use of mind and intention, culivation of Qi. Daoyin Yang Sheng Gong Shi Er Fa ( Daoyin 12) will be the main form taught, which is for total health preservation.
The 12 step Daoyin Health Preservation Exercises are a complete set of meridian exercises combining mental concentration, breath control and body movement for life vitality. The teaching will focus on the 12 movements from the form sequentially, giving attendees lots of opportunities to practice and refine the movements. Attendees will develop the ability to move with precision and flow, enabling maximum body and mind benefits, whilst enjoying the process.
