Who We Are
Dao Lu CIC (Community Interest Company) is a local group of people who are passionate about Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese martial art, and its great health benefits. We promote Tai Chi training to local communities and beyond for a healthier and calmer mind, body and lifestyle.
We set ourselves up in April 2013 and registered at Companies House and the C.I.C. Regulator, The Office of the Regulator of Community Interest Companies, in October 2013. We are also a registered member of British Council for Chinese Martial Arts, the national governing body for Chinese martial arts under Sport England.
We are particularly targeting hard to reach community groups to benefit from Tai Chi training. We work with many different organisations including local authorities to bring Tai Chi to local residents. In August 2014 we won a Big Lottery Fund award to deliver a comprehensive Tai Chi programme, Ultimate Wellbeing, to a wider range of groups in their familiar settings such as care homes and days centres.
Watch this 3 minute Dao Lu/Wendy film, told by Wendy, a Dao Lu Tai Chi student, as part of 1,000 Londoners Project, the biggest documentary in the world about a city. This film was premiered in September 2017.
