Hula Fun for Mums & Kids

World Cup of Gymnastics 2017 will be taking place at the O2, London on 8 April 2017. To help celebrate this great event, Dao Lu has been awarded a Mayor of London World Cup of Gymnastics community engagement grant to host a gymnastics project, Hula Fun for Mums & Kids, from April to June 2017!

This is partnership work with Mayor of London and British Gymnastics. Two qualified female instructors will be appointed by British Gymnastics.

Look forward to toning up and slimming down with a hula hoop? Please come along and have a great fun! Please do bring your own hula hoop if possible.

  • Saturdays at 14:00 – 15:15
  • 22nd April to 20th May 2017 (5 sessions)
  • Ramadan break
  • Re-opens from 1 July to 29 July 2017 (5 more sessions)
  • Total 10 sessions, FREE
  • You will need to bring your own hula hoop, if possible. If you don’t have one, please let us know when you make the booking.
  • At Al Madina Mosque & Centre, 2 Victoria Road, Barking, Essex IG11 8PY (see map below)

Dao Lu has been awarded a grant by the Mayor of London FreeSport Summer 2016!

Coca-Cola Parklives logoThis project is free for people affected by dementia, family carers and support workers. Tai Chi has many health benefits including improving balance and coordination, calming your mind and relieving stress in a beautiful and quiet natural setting.

We are working in partnership with Waltham Forest Alzheimer’s Society and Community Transport Waltham Forest to deliver this project.

  • Wednesdays 11.15 – 12.30
  • 7th September to 26th October 2016
  • Total 8 sessions, FREE
  • At Pimp Hall Nature Reserve, near Kings Road Recycling Centre, off Kings Road, Chingford E4 7HR
  • Minibus space available on first come first served basis

This project aims to provide 8 FREE Tai Chi sessions to young people aged 19-25 to help them to try a new physical activity and/or go back to a more active lifestyle in their busy lives.

  • Aged 19-25
  • Lives or studies in the London Borough of Waltham Forest
  • Can choose any Dao Lu weekly Tai Chi session to attend, 2 sessions a week
  • To complete 8 FREE sessions by the end of March, if possible
  • Venues vary. You can look at the Dao Lu weekly class timetable and decide which session is best for you.
