Following a successful Mayor of London Lotus Tai Chi for Women in Chingford project in September and October 2015, Dao Lu has been again awarded a grant by the Mayor of London FreeSport Winter 2016!
This time we are bringing a new project, Barking Breeze: Tai Chi for Women, into London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, where the number of children and young people under 18 is the highest compared with all other London Boroughs. Many local women and/or mums were looking for suitable physical activities. This project aims to introduce Tai Chi to local women in Barking and Dagenham working in partnership with Al Madina Mosque.
- Saturdays 14.00 – 15.15
- From 23rd January to 19th March 2016
- No session on 20th February (half term)
- Total 8 sessions, FREE
- At the Al Madina Mosque and Centre, 2 Victoria Road, Barking, Essex IG11 8PY
To book, please use the contact form
Opposite the venue, Al Madina Mosque and Centre, is the Ilford Lane entrance to Barking Park. Barking Park was established in 1896, covering just under 30 hectares to the east of Barking Town Centre. The venue is 10 minutes walk from Barking Station with a beautiful view to the Park. We’d like to say a big thank you to a group of local Muslim women who approached Dao Lu about practicing Tai Chi in Barking and recommended this venue.
A PDF of the Barking Breeze poster is available here if you would like to print out a copy of the project.
