May 16, 2016 by bootleweb

20160522 Image - DAW 16-22 May

Sunday 22 May, 12pm – 4pm

Walthamstow Town Square, E17 7JN

All Dao Lu students will meet at 13.00 in the Town Square for briefing and running a final order. We’ll need to report to the stage manager at 13.30. The Tai Chi demonstration will take place at 14.00-14.15 on the main stage.

Please wear Tai Chi uniform and/or Dao Lu T-shirt and black trousers. You must carry your Dao Lu licence in your weapon bag for security checks.

The finale of a week of events organised by LBWF to celebrate Dementia Awareness Week. We will be filling Walthamstow Town Square with music, dance, sing-a-longs and dressing up, all with a vintage flavour, for everyone to enjoy. The event is aimed at people of all ages. We will be bringing a number of older people, some of whom are living with dementia, to the event from residential homes around the borough using a vintage red routemaster bus! There will be a number of stalls, including a Dao Lu stall, giving out information and the town centre’s normal farmer’s market will be taking place until 2pm.
