Get ready for two days of music, dance, activities and culture in E17 as we return to Lloyd Park for our sixth year! Everyone is invited to this global festival made locally that brings together of 30,000 people to enjoy and discover the inspiring arts and culture from Waltham Forest and beyond…
On Saturday 13th July 2019, we will deliver a Dao Lu Tai Chi performance on the News from Nowhere Stage at 13:15–13.30 and a join in workshop in front of the stage at 13:30–14:00.
- Performers will meet at 12.00 at the performers entry door and/or 12:15 in front of News from Nowhere Stage
- Stage set up for Dao Lu act at 13:00-13.15, Dao Lu Tai Chi performance at 13.15–13:30 and a join in workshop at 13:30–14:00
Clothing and other essentials – please wear Tai Chi white uniform and/or Dao Lu white T-shirt and black trousers. Please bring sun cream and water. If you carry weapons, they must be kept in their bags except for the performances and you must have your Dao Lu licence with you for security checks.
Entry – Dao Lu performers and volunteers have now received full briefing.
Rehearsals – We have been training hard for rehearsals on Tuesdays and Fridays. In the final week, a final dress rehearsal will take place on Tuesday 9th July, 17.30-19.00, at the Foster Hall / St Barnabas Church Hall, Wellesley Road, Walthamstow E17 8JZ, and on Friday 12th July at 10.00-11.30am in Lloyd Park. We hope to look at the stage on Friday 12th July as well.
