Saturday/Sunday 18th – 19th July 2015, in Lloyd Park, Forest Road, E17
Following a very successful event in 2014, we will be performing Tai Chi and Kung Fu again at this year’s festival. We are performing both days – on Saturday as an open taster, on Sunday as a performance.
Saturday 18th July 3 – 3.30 pm Tai Chi taster session for the public
Hope you can all come along to help run this workshop. Please arrive at 2.30pm.
Sunday 19th July 3.30 – 4pm
Tai Chi performance by students from Lloyd Park Senior Tai Chi Corner and Women’s Tai Chi Corner. Please all arrive at 2.30 pm, both the students taking part in the performance and volunteers helping out.
Meeting point – We will be directly in front of the main stage a little bit further down on Aveling fields from where Senior Tai Chi Corner takes place every Sunday over the summer. There will be no performance on the main stage during our slots and we can use our music speakers. On Sunday there will be a big performance by Skatalites on the main stage just before 3.30pm so potentially lots of people gathering and hanging around.
Clothing and other essentials – please wear Tai Chi uniform and/or Dao Lu T-shirt and black trousers. Please bring sun cream and water. If you carry weapons, you must have your Dao Lu licence with you for security checks.
Entry – Dao Lu performers and volunteers: please enter from a separate entrance on Bedford Road to get into the Lloyd Park on the day before 2.30 pm to avoid the long queues for the public at other gates and get to the Dao Lu meeting point on Aveling Field at 2.30 pm on both days. This entrance will shut at 3 pm.
Rehearsals – You must attend the reheasals on 5 July and/or 12 July to know the routines and take part in the performance.
