Tai Chi for Winter Warmth and Wellness

December 19, 2022 by Belinda

Start 2023 learning new skills to improve wellbeing, balance, coordination and focus. 10-week Tai Chi and Qigong course for all abilities. Tuesdays, 1.30 – 3.00 pm, starting 10 January – 14 March 2023 at the Waltham Forest Community Hub, 18a Orford Rd, Walthamstow, London E17 9LN. £3/session, £30 block booking.

Register at https://taichiwinterwarmth.eventbrite.co.uk or email info@daolu.co.uk, Subject line: Tai Chi for Winter Warmth and Wellness.

Tai Chi has proven benefits for physical and mental wellbeing for both young and old. Regular Tai Chi practice improves balance, coordination between upper and lower bodies, mental focus, intention and visualisation. We recommend participants attend the full 10 weeks to learn the forms in full and benefit more from the programme. The course is for all abilities, including those with physical constraints. Exercises can be adjusted and done while seated to ensure accessibility.

In starting any new exercise, consult your doctor to clarify that it is safe for you to become physically active at this current time and in your current state of health. All participants will be asked to fill in a health questionnaire to inform instructors of any need for adjustments.

After 1-hour exercise, there will be tea/coffee, biscuits and chat for people to relax, socialise and form new connections.

Partly-funded by the London Borough of Waltham Forest Community Ward Fund.
