Tai Chi and Qi Gong Cultural Trip 2019 – Itinerary

Day 1 – Sunday 13/10/19

Depart for China, Cheng Du

Day 2 – Monday –  Cheng Du

Arrive at Cheng Du and check into hotel; Free time to relax and recoup.

Day 3 – Tuesday B, L – Cheng Du

Yi Jin Jing Health Qi Gong (9-10.30am) in the park free time to enjoy a leisure stroll and experience local lives. After lunch visit the Panda Conservation Base to see the beautiful Giant Pandas, one of the world most loved animals.

Day 4 – Wednesday B, L, D – Cheng Du

Yi Jin Jing Health Qi Gong (8-9.30am). Travel to Le Shan to see one of the world’s oldest and biggest Hillside Buddha statues, it is a world heritage.

Day 5 – Thursday B (maybe on plane), D (L not included), Cheng Du – Zhang Jia Jie

Check out of hotel in the morning and Transfer to airport for flight to Zhang Jia Jie National Forest Park, a UNESCO site with beautiful mountains. The floating mountain in the film “Avatar” was created due to the inspiration of this unique mountain range.

Day 6 – Friday B, L, D Xi’an – Zhang Jia jie

Yang Style Tai Chi 24 Step (8 – 9.30am).  Morning Sightseeing and enjoy the breath taking view of the prince’s hill (renamed Avatar Hill).

Day 7 – Saturday B, L, D Zhang Jia Je

Yang Style Tai Chi 24 Step (8 – 9.30am).  More local sightseeing.

Day 8 – Sunday B Zhang Jia Jie – Xiang Yang

Check out of hotel and take the morning train (7hrs approx.) to the sacred mountain of Wudang. Arrive at late afternoon at Xiang Yang. If time allows visit the Xiang Yang Old Town. Check into hotel rest for the night.

Day 9 – Monday B, L, D Wudang

Morning coach journey to Wudang Mountain. We will visit the Prince’s slope Palace temple. Early evening Tai Chi Qi Gong Practice (2.5hr)

Day 10 – Tuesday B, L, D Wudang Mountain

Wudang Qi Gong and Meditation practice (optional £25 needs a minimum of 12 people)(8.00am – 11.00am). Teaching is conducted by Taoist Master Zhang Jia Li. After lunch, visit Golden summit (cable car up and walk down approx. 2.5 hrs. (optional) cable car down £9pp /¥90RMB approx.)

Day 11 – Wednesday B, L, D Wudang Mountain

Tai Chi & Qi Gong Practice (8.30-12.00noon) in the 400 hundred years old Purple heaven palace temple to absorb the sacred aura of the mountain. After lunch visit the South Cliff palace temple a hanging temple on the cliff.

Day 12 – Thursday B, L Wudang Mountain

Travel down the mountain, Tai Chi & Qi Gong Practice or possible exchange with local Tai Chi group. Free afternoon to explore the Wudang town and to experience the life of local people.

 

15 day option

Day 13 – Friday B, L, Mt. Wudang – Beijing

Check out of hotel and overnight train journey (21hrs) to the capital of China Beijing.

Day 14 – Saturday Beijing

Arrive at Beijing, check in the hotel and free time to relax, recoup or visit places of interest.

Day 15 – Sunday 27th October 2019

Depart for home

 

18 day option

Day 13 – Friday B, D Mt. Wudang – Xi’an

Check out of hotel and coach journey (6hrs) to one of China’s oldest capital Xi’an, home of the Terra Cotta Warriors.

Day 14 – Saturday B, L, D Xi’an

Tai Chi Qi Gong practice (8.00-9.00am), Visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and come face to face with two thousand years of history.

Day 15 – Sunday B, L, D Xi’an

Tai Chi Qi Gong practice (8.00-9.30am), visit the Wild goose Pagoda, thousand year Buddhist temples After lunch Visit the most well preserved city wall, (optional) hire a bicycle and ride round the wall (approx.1.5hrs).

Day 16 – Monday B, Xi’an – Beijing

Check out hotel and transfer to train station for high speed train the Beijing, capital of China.

Day 17 – Tuesday B only Beijing

Free day to relax, recoup or visit places of interest.

Day 18 – Wednesday 30th October 2019

Departure for home

The itinerary is subject to change due to unavoidable circumstances. In the unlikely event of a sight, activity or training not being available, we will substitute it with suitable alternatives without prior notice. Please also be aware that train/flights and other transports also subject to change without prior notice.

Note: Please schedule one/two days at both ends of the trip in your holiday plan in case we have to change flight dates and time.
