Saturday 29 June, Waltham Forest Sports Festival, 11 am to 5 pm, at Chestnut Field behind the Town Hall on Forest Road. We will be there at 2 – 4.30 pm to host several mini Tai Chi taster sessions (a marquee available if it is wet). It will be a market place style for people to drop in and dip out with over 30 different sport clubs/groups there. So it would be great if we could have lots of our students practicing Tai Chi next to our stall as ‘live’ advertisement to attract attention! We will take turn to do ‘live’ advert so everyone will have a chance to wander around and try different other activities, all free on the day, so to make the best out of the day. Hope this sounds a good plan 🙂
Saturday 15 June, Wood Street ‘Love your borough’ Fun Day, 12 – 5 pm. We will be performing a Tai Chi/Kung fu slot on a stage at the Wood Street Plaza at 3.15 – 3.30 pm. So if you will be dancing and singing in the audience, please blow a whistle or make any other loud cheering noise for our Dao Lu group 🙂
Hope you are all enjoying the glorious Spring weather so far this week. It looks the weather will be ok on Saturday. So we will be going outdoor in Lloyd Park to do our small part and celebrate World Tai Chi Day 2013: One World, One Breath. We will meet at 8.50 am on the green area next to the William Morris Gallery for our Tai Chi class and a mini demo at 9 -10 am. The Kungfu classes will run as usual at 10 to 12 in Lloyd Park following the Tai Chi class, so will Tai Chi for women only class at 12.30 pm.
We will not be alone. On the last Saturday of April each year at 10 am, tens of thousands people in hundreds of cities, in over 70 nations, come together to breath together under one blue sky …
